With an adventure for every family member, Wild Adventures is a theme, water and animal park with a concert venue all rolled into one. The size of 155 football fields, it is the area’s number one attraction. The park has the South’s largest ride collection including major roller coasters, hundreds of animals and the region’s largest water park. Wild Adventures also hosts concerts featuring today’s biggest names from five musical genres each year and numerous festivals throughout the season. Open select days March through December, Wild Adventures is located in Valdosta, Georgia.
It’s summertime! That means parents have extra time to spend with their children, and what better way to engage in classic fun with family and friends than to visit an amusement park?
Three and a half hours south of Atlanta in Valdosta, you will find a hidden gem “Wild Adventures Theme Park”. Most Atlantan’s have driven by the signs for years, but have no idea of what it is. I know I did.
About 5 miles off the interstate, hidden on 170 acres of flat land, is Wild Adventures. Wild Adventures has something for kids of all ages from preschoolers to adults. With carousels, Ferris wheels and coasters of all shapes and sizes.
We found a nice mix of both types of rides and I liked the layout because the kiddie rides were interspersed with the thrill rides, so you could send the older ones over to the rides that were fast and had loops next door, and keep the younger one engaged on something that was more his speed. They also have a safari area with a train ride that takes you through 3 continents of animals and animal’s through-out the park as well.
Wild Adventures for all Ages.

17-acre Splash Island Water Park: Wild Adventures Water Park
In addition to the rides, Wild Adventures, Valdosta Ga. has a safari with elephants, giraffes and other animals, several shows and one of the popular water parks in Georgia called Splash Island for wild water adventures.
As with most water parks in Ga. that are inside a amusement park, we recommend heading to the water park first. After 12 noon, it gets quite crowded. The lifeguards confirmed that too. Wild Adventures water park doesn’t open until 11, so if you head here first, you can do a couple of the rides on the way and still arrive in time for opening.
Ohana Bay: Wild Adventures Water Park
Splash Island will be getting bigger in 2017. Ohana Bay is a new family friendly water park in Georgia with seven slides that are geared toward older thrill seekers to small children just looking to splash around. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more about this newest addition to Georgia water parks.

HISTORY
Wild Adventures grew from a vision of a local family and began as a weekend horse farm. The farm later evolved into a full-fledged amusement park with concerts, playground, animals and thrill rides. Now, under Herschend Family Entertainment, the park continues to grow and is the region’s premiere water and theme park, as well as a favorite place for concerts.
