The Gobble Jog has been a Thanksgiving family tradition for the past 18 years and the largest fundraiser for MUST Ministries.  Even though the Gobble Jog will not happen at the Marietta Square this year, the virtual race is still critically important.  Funds generated from the event support many things, including our Neighborhood Pantry Program. MUST Ministries is experiencing the greatest food need in its 49-year history. Please sign up to run the Marietta Daily Journal Gobble Jog virtually and post your time or donate money that will provide food for your neighbors in need.

MUST Neighborhood Pantry Program’s mission is to eliminate hunger for at-risk students in local schools, giving them a greater opportunity to succeed in school and life. MUST Ministries partners with schools by providing food and toiletries to at risk students and families through the campus-based food pantry program.  MUST works very closely with school social workers, counselors and staff to identify children and families in crisis.  Once a month, including the summer, families can come to the pantry and choose items they need and want.  MUST currently serves 11,000 students through 38 pantries.

The Gobble Jog virtual race cost is $35 and includes a color-wash, long-sleeved t-shirt.  Runners and walkers can run a 10K, 5K, or 1K anytime between November 1 – 26.  Online registration is at www.GobbleJog.org. Thank you for your support!

Once registered, runners can also help raise money by letting family, friends and co-workers know the following three ways they can donate:

Running in honor or memory of a loved one
Donate a dollar to match each date of November (totaling $351)
26 Days of Thanks – post what you are thankful for on social media each day and raise money in thankfulness
All proceeds will go to provide food for the local community.
