Bring a chair and help celebrate our nation’s birthday! \nWhen:                   Sunday\, July 4th; 3:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. \nWhere:                  Dellinger Park – Cartersville\, GA.  From the North or South: (I 75): I 75 to exit 288 (Cartersville-Main Street) (from the north turn right onto Main Street)\, (from the south turn left onto Main Street); go through the 6th traffic light and the road will bear to the left onto Etowah Drive; go through 1st traffic light at West Avenue; go through 2nd traffic light at Old Mill Road; Cartersville Primary School will be on the right after passing the school the road will fork take the right fork onto Pine Grove Road the park will be .6 mile on the left. \nAdmission:           FREE \nParking:                $10.00 per vehicle \nAttendance:           15\,000 people \nFireworks:             Thanks to City of Cartersville\, Bartow County and Century Bank of Georgia we will again have a huge firework display.  Fireworks will launch from Dellinger Park about 9:30 p.m. \nKid’s Zone:           An Enormous Kid’s Zone will feature huge inflatable slides\, obstacle courses\, bounces\, Quad Euro Bungee and more.  There will be a petting zoo\, pony rides and even camel rides. \nFree Concert:        Century Bank of Georgia Stage will feature acoustic sounds from Scott Thompson and then Peachtree Station will start at 8:00 p.m. and take us on a musical ride until fireworks!! \n  \nVIP Tables:           Don’t want to worry about getting a great spot for the concert and fireworks? Then purchase a VIP table for $200.00 – seats up to 10 people – reserved for you to claim anytime and includes a reserved parking space.  Link to forms available at www.etowahrotary.com/4th-of-july or contact our office. \n  \nParade-Sat July 3:    The WBHF- Radio and Rotary Club of Etowah 4th of July Parade will begin at \nthe Tabernacle Baptist Church promptly at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday July 3rd.  The parade is presented by Shottenkirk Honda.  This year’s Grand Marshalls are the healthcare workers of Cartersville Medical Center and their families.  The procession\, which leaves Douglas Street\, turns right onto Church Street\, then continues to make a left on Bartow Street\, left on Main Street\, left on Tennessee Street and left on East Church Street. Concerts are presented by 94.9 The Bull. \nParade \n The Marietta Independence Day parade is scheduled to include more than 100 entries with more than 30 floats and approximately 2\,000 participants. Entries include marching units from the City of Marietta\, civic organizations\, beauty queens\, scouts and local businesses. We also provide Permanent Supportive Housing for clients with disabilities\, Thanksgiving boxes\, a Toy Shop at Christmas and Summer Lunch distributions throughout Cherokee.” \nThese programs will benefit from a successful golf tournament\, hosted again this year at Woodmont Golf and Country Club\, the first course designed by renowned golf course architect Robert Trent Jones\, Jr. According to club spokesman Tyler Johnson\, “The course provides first class conditions and a memorable setting in rolling hills. In addition to the beautiful course\, we’re pleased to partner with MUST Ministries to benefit people in our community who need help and hope.” \nThe front nine at Woodmont offers longer\, more difficult shots with fairly open fairways while the back nine is distinguished by three of the best finishing holes anywhere. Prizes will be given for first and second place teams\, longest drive\, straightest drive\, closest to the pin\, putting and a hole in one contest. Event staff members to wash hands prior to starting their shift and at frequent intervals in between tasks. Event staff members to undergo screening\, including a temperature check\, upon arrival to event facility. Food to be handled with plastic utensils to minimize touch points by staff members. DESCRIPTION:Santa’s Arrival\n  \n\nDecember 4 @ 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm\n  \n\n\n\n\nThe City of Acworth is excited to partner with NorthStar Church to bring Santa to Acworth and create a magical experience for all ages! Santa will return to downtown Acworth on Friday\, December 4\, 2020. Festivities will begin around 5:30 p.m. and Santa will arrive around 6:30 p.m. There will be a host of live performances into the evening to help Santa kickoff the holiday season. Bring the entire family to hear Mayor Tommy Allegood read The Night Before Christmas at the Plaza and watch the lighting of the tree. Enjoy pictures with Santa\, eating candy canes with all his elves\, and filling the streets with the holiday spirit. Don’t forget to visit Frana Brown Park\, where you can peruse the beautiful Festival of Trees!

SUMMARY:Acworth Turkey Chase
DESCRIPTION:The 12th Annual Acworth Turkey Chase will look a little different this year\, but the goals of the event remain the same: provide food to the Housing Authority and food pantries in Acworth during the Holiday Season and spend time being active with family and friends. \nFor this year’s event\, participants will still receive their 12th Annual Acworth Turkey Chase long-sleeve t-shirt when they bring their non-perishable food item\, however\, this year there will not be a race day event.  Everyone will be on the “honor system” to run or walk a 5K or 2K\, it does not have to be the Turkey Chase course\, any route will do! \nWe are asking all participants to share photos of themselves running or walking in their Turkey Chase t-shirt and use the hashtag #AcworthTurkeyChase2020 \nThe Course \nThis year there is no formal course or race time. You choose where to run or walk your 5K.\nRegistration\nRegister before 5:00 p.m. on Friday\, November 20.\nCost: $10 (all ages)Race Details \nAll participants must bring a non-perishable food item to receive the 2020 Acworth Turkey Chase t-shirt. \nThere will be no race day event.
